Newcastle University Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarships in UK

We are delighted to offer 13 Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarship awards for outstanding applicants applying for full-time undergraduate study.

Scholarships available

There are 11% to 50% tuition scholarships and two 100% tuition scholarships.

50% or 100% tuition fee

Start date and duration

September 2023 for the full duration of the degree programme

  • March 30, 2023 – Kenya, South Africa, Tanzania, Turkey, USA
  • April 27, 2023 – India, Malaysia, Ukraine

Eligibility criteria

50% scholarship

Applicants for up to 50% scholarship:

  • must be a resident of one of the following countries: India, Kenya, Malaysia, South Africa, Tanzania, Turkey, Ukraine, USA
  • may be treated as international for payment purposes:
  • Hold an offer for a suitable undergraduate degree program at the University’s Newcastle city center campus for the academic year 2023/24
  • have already obtained or expect to obtain a minimum IBA at A level or equivalent

We will assess suitable candidates based on the following evidence:

  • academic ability
  • proof of commitment to education
  • application quality

100% scholarships

Applicants to be considered for 100% scholarships:

  • must reside in one of the following countries: USA, India, Ukraine
  • may qualify as international for paid purposes
  • Hold an offer for a suitable undergraduate degree program at the University’s Newcastle city center campus for the academic year 2023/24
  • have already obtained or expect to obtain a minimum IBA at A level or equivalent

Eligible candidates will be assessed on evidence of academic ability, evidence of commitment to research and quality of application.
