The scholarship covers 75 percent of tuition fees, please see application details below. Currently, it is not possible to apply for this scholarship. The next round of applications will open on February 8, 2023 for students who will begin their studies at Linnaeus University in the fall of 2023. The deadline for applications is 20 February at 13.00 (13.00 CET, Central European Time)

A number of scholarships are available, each of which waives up to 75 percent of tuition fees for the full program. Scholarships will be awarded initially for one semester, but will be automatically extended for the duration of the study program (from 2 semesters to 4 semesters) provided the academic results are satisfactory.

You can apply if:

  • Are from a country outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland
  • Have applied for a master’s program at Linnaeus University via www.universityadmissions.se by January 16 and sent/uploaded all required documents before February 1.
  • You selected Linnaeus University as your first choice in your application at www.universityadmissions.se
  • paid the application fee to www.universityadmissions.se before February 1.
  • have filled the application form before the application deadline.

According to what criteria will Linnaeus University select students who will receive scholarships?

Linnaeus University’s decision to award scholarships will be based primarily on students’ academic merit. Usually this is based on CGPA, but previous university ranking and students’ English proficiency will also be considered. Linnaeus University also favors an even distribution of students when it comes to country of origin and gender.

Who funds the scholarships?

Linnaeus University receives funding from a foundation supported by the Swedish government.

Timeline for Linnaeus University Scholarship

Late January/early February – All students who have applied for their first choice for Linnaeus University’s master’s program at www.universityadmissions.se will receive an email with information on how to apply for a scholarship with a link to the application form. Be sure to check your junk/spam folder. Email sent on February 8th.

February 8, 2023 – The application opens.

February 20, 2023 – Application closes at 13.00 (13.00 CET, Central European Time)

End of April – Announcement of who will receive a scholarship from Linnaeus University
