Background

La Trobe University is partnering with the City of Greater Bendigo (COGB) as part of the Smart Cities Alliance. COGB is the largest municipality in central Victoria. COGB will fund 2 scholarships in 2023 to support female students studying the Internet of Things Masters at the Bendigo Campus.

Are you eligible to apply?

To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, applicants must:

This scholarship is awarded to the following female students:

  • Are Australian citizens or international students
  • demonstrate high academic achievement
  • La Trobe Bendigo campus launches Master of Internet of Things Semester 1 2023
  • Have successfully completed an Australian Bachelor’s degree (or its equivalent) with higher level subjects in Mathematics, Mathematics or Discrete Mathematics.

Scholarship recipients are selected by the University based on:

The recipient of the scholarship is selected by the University based on the following:

  • academic transcript
  • A 500-word statement outlining why you have chosen to study the Master of Internet of Things
  • A 500-word statement describing how you contribute to Greater Bendigo’s smart city vision as an IoT Master’s graduate

Obligations of the buyer

  • The student should prepare a milestone report of 200-300 words to update the donor of their participation in the scholarship (COGB) and highlight what the opportunity has given them. This will be at the end of the first year and a final report will be issued at the end of their course.
  • Scholarship recipients may be required to participate in joint promotional events related to their scholarship and university experience, or to participate in promotional activities in print, media, websites, and social media.
