KARLSTAD UNIVERSITY GLOBAL GRANT
The Karlstad University Global Scholarship program is aimed at the best academic students from countries outside the European Union/European Economic Area (and Switzerland) who have to pay tuition fees.
Karlstad University Global Scholarship offers scholarships that partially or fully cover tuition fees. A scholarship application will be considered only if the application fee is paid or if the application fee is waived. This scholarship is open to students from the following 12 countries: Bangladesh, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Ethiopia, Kenya, Mali, Mozambique, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia. Students from these countries have the option to apply for a Swedish Institute Education Scholarship instead. Applications for the Karlstad University Global Scholarship will be accepted between 1 December 2022 and 1 February 2023. You are applying on the website of Karlstad University.
WHAT COSTS DOES THE SCHOLARSHIP COVER?
Scholarships cover 25%, 50%, 75% or 100% of tuition fees. The value of the scholarship is indicated in the scholarship notification for each scholarship holder. The value of the scholarship is deducted from the tuition fees of the program for which you have won the scholarship. Please note that Karlstad University Global Scholarships do not cover living expenses. In order to finance your stay in Sweden and obtain a residence permit to study, you must show that you have the funds for the total duration of your studies when you first apply for a residence permit. For more information, contact the Swedish Migration Agency.
HOW TO APPLY?
To apply you must use the link on the right or click here.
The application must be received no later than February 1, 2022. Late applications will not be considered. Before applying for a scholarship, you must apply to study at Karlstad University.
TERMS OF SCHOLARSHIP
The selection process for scholarships is done after program selection. Preference will be given to students with high academic performance and a strong commitment and desire to study at Karlstad University.
The scholarship is only available for programs starting in the fall semester. The scholarship offer is valid only for the year and program specified in the scholarship notification. If the student is deferred until the next academic year, the scholarship offer is not valid. If a scholarship recipient changes programs, the scholarship is program-specific, so the student will be at risk of losing the scholarship.
