INSEAD Syngenta MBA Scholarship(s) for Developing Country Leadership 2023-24

Two scholarships will be awarded per class and candidates for these scholarships must demonstrate: (a) outstanding academic achievement and promise (b) aptitude for business and financial management (c) leadership potential and (d) commitment to contribute to their country or at some point in the future region.

Applications for this scholarship are open for rounds 1 and 2. All applications will be reviewed immediately after the deadline.


Applicants must be citizens of a developing economy and must have spent a significant part of their life, education and/or professional experience in the developing world. Industry experience will be an advantage. Preference will be given to candidates with approved financial aid needs.

Essay topic

1).Briefly discuss the requirements for successful business leadership in your country today. Describe how you intend to contribute to the future development of your country after graduation and why you should be considered for this award. (200 words)

2).Briefly discuss the measures required for sustainable agriculture in your country/region in the context of urban and rural development. Focus on what you think is the most important element (250 words)

3). Provide a brief but accurate description of your financial circumstances at INSEAD, as well as a cash flow forecast for the year (detailing defined income against expenses). (150-200 words)
