The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is pleased to invite applications for Brunei Darussalam Government Scholarship for Foreign Students studying in Brunei Darussalam for the 2023/2024 academic session.
The scholarship enables applicants to study at the Diploma, Bachelor Degree and Post Graduate level at the following higher education institutions in Brunei:
| . | ​Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD), Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA), Universiti Technology Brunei (UTB), Kolej Universiti Perguruan Ugama Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) and Politeknik Brunei (PB). |
The academic year starts in July/August 2023.
Eligibility Requirements
Ineligible applications will be rejected. Before applying, check that you meet the following eligibility criteria:
Applicants:
Should not be more than 25 years of age for Bachelor’s and Diploma programs and 35 years of age for Master’s degree on the first day of July of the year of commencement of the course/programme.
Fluency in English with Credit 6 in GCE ‘O’ Level Examination or grade ‘C’ in IGCSE English (as a second language) or IELTS score of 6.0 or TOEFL score of 550 minimum.
NOTE: The scholarship is mainly intended for international students studying in Brunei Darussalam for the first time. Bruneians, Permanent Residents of Brunei and international students studying/studying in Bruneian institutions of higher education are NOT eligible.

| 2. | The applicant may be required to attend an interview at locations determined by the institutions offering the programs and to undergo a written test to assess the applicant’s English/Malay/Arabic language proficiency (where applicable). ). |

The Government of Brunei Darussalam reserves the right to reject any application. The decision regarding the selection of candidates is final. Any dispute or query regarding the decision taken will not be entertained. |
