The Axel Adler scholarship is a tuition fee scholarship and is awarded for international master’s and bachelor’s programs in English at the University of Gothenburg. The selection of scholars is primarily based on the applicant’s qualifications related to the program of study. The Axel Adler Scholarship is funded by the Adlerbertska Scholarship Fund and the Adlerbertska Grant Fund and the Swedish Higher Education Council (UHR).
Fit Axel Adler Scholarship:
- You are considered a paying student.
- You applied to an international campus-based program at the University of Gothenburg as your first priority.
- You have submitted your application to study January 16, 2023 and paid the application fee and documented your eligibility to study February 1, 2023 via www.universityadmissions.se.

Students who have applied as first priority to a program at the University of Gothenburg via www.universityadmissions.se will be sent an email with application instructions. February 8, 2023. An invitation to apply for the Axel Adler Scholarship will be sent to the email address you have registered on universityadmissions.se.

CV and Motivation letter
When applying for the Axel Adler Scholarship, you must attach a CV and Motivation Letter as a written text, which are used for the selection of scholars. In the motivation letter, you have the opportunity to highlight the advantages in your CV. It is not possible to attach any other document form to the scholarship application.
The academic staff evaluates and ranks based on the CV and Motivation letter in your scholarship application. The assessment is carried out in conjunction with the assessment of your study program application to assess your suitability for the program as well as your willingness and commitment to study.
One scholarship is awarded for each program.
There are exceptions for Masters in Fine Art, Craft and Design and Music and Performance programmes, where a total of four scholarships will be awarded for all programmes.
The decision on the results will be sent by email to:
- April 5, 2023 Applicants to the Master’s program
- April 12, 2023 Applicants to undergraduate programs

Axel Adler Scholarship for Sustainability
Sustainable development is an important part of the vision of the University of Gothenburg. Therefore, we offer the Axel Adler Scholarship for Sustainability, a scholarship program within Axel Adler for students studying in a sustainability-oriented study program. A scholarship is a waiver of tuition fees.
If you are eligible to apply, you do so in the same program as the regular Axel Adler Scholarship application.
